5 Things To Know Before You Move Into A Neighborhood

Research, Research, Research!

1. Check Megan’s Law databases & call the local police department for statistics.

2. Is the area recession-resistant? Hardest hit areas with good deals may take longer to see value increases. How long are you planning keeping the home?

3. Does the neighborhood reflect your lifestyle? Do you look for museums, parks, restaurants, easy access to freeways….what is the accessibility to place and activities that you enjoy?

4. What is the age range, do you have children, what will they be able to enjoy? What are the schools rated? What is important to your family?

5. Visit different times and days. A Sunday afternoon may have a different atmosphere than a Friday night. Check the vibe, walk around the neighborhood and engage in conversation with the locals and hear what they share.

I have many tools at my fingertips that can help in the process and relieve your stress!
