Certain San Diego County Zip Codes Get a Face Lift

Thanks to investors and bargain chasers San Diego median home prices and sales, in certain neighborhoods, have risen.

Analysis shows that a majority of zip codes tracked, by the La Jolla-based DataQuick, have shown improvement since their individual troughs. Looking through that perspective, certain neighborhoods, such as Logan Heights and El Cajon, have positively bounced back more than others with the same trend evident in sales. The Union Tribune San Diego analysis compared the sales and price lows for all major zip codes in San Diego county to where they were at the first quarter of this year.

Logan Heights (92113) is at the top of the chart with their lows of $105,000 raising to $184,500, winning in the “most improved” category among 90 zip codes in San Diego county. El Cajon was second as the most improved with house flippers staying busy installing new kitchens and carpets. El Cajon (92020) has become very popular with investors swapping up value homes under $300,000 and fixing them up brand new. South Escondido (92025) ranked #3 with their lowest at $185,000 and now raised to $280,000 (don’t be confused, west Escondido raised up to a whopping $475,500 from the low $335,000). College (92115) ranked in at #4 with a raised housing median of $270,250 and Oceanside at #6 raising to $340,000 from $245,000.

Recently, we have experienced multiple offers in the Encinitas homes for sale and La Costa real estate market with rising home prices.
