Historic Status Sought for Encinitas Boat Houses

Historical Boat Homes in Encinitas

Historic status sought for these iconic homes.      Did  you know The S.S. Encinitas and S.S. Moonlight were built in the 1920s using salvaged wood from the Moonlight Beach Dance Pavilion that was being torn down? The boat houses that have delighted visitors to Encinitas for nearly a century will soon be considered for a spot on the prestigious National Register of Historic Places. The goal of the Encinitas Preservation Association is to transform at least one of the boat houses into a museum in the next few years.

Drop by the Encinitas Visitor’s Center to get a walking map of the city to check out other historic sites in the city. And, of course, call me for any Real Estate needs in one of California’s most beautiful coastlines cities…six miles of breathtaking pacific ocean views and 11 public beaches.
