Del Mar Local News – Del Mar Discusses Postponing Revitalization Vote: A few flags have been raised after the latest survey exposed on the Del Mar Plaza Development Roundabouts. A number of residents are suggesting to delay the vote and give the community time to get more information. Officials also brought up the idea to install "demonstration" roundabouts in the residential communities to give the residents a "feel" of how this affects them. Of course Councilman for Del Mar who strongly promoted this idea in the first place, says that the whole package might be risked if the demonstration idea gets put into the works. He doesn't like the backpedaling. But if the council agrees to delay the project and try temporary demonstration roundabouts, it will cost the city upward of $100,000, especially to hold a special election next Spring when this would be brought to the table again. The council held their meeting this week on August 6 at the Del Mar Council Chambers about the Village Specific Plan Environment Impact Report.
